The most common lip lift technique is known as the Bullhorn lip lift based on the design of the incision. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. The amount of skin excised varies per patient and the anatomy of each patient. The resulting scar is hidden in the natural crease under the base of the nose. The procedure generally takes about one hour to perform.
